It has opened the bookings for Bharat Darshan trains this year,  that will cater to your budget travel needs perfectly! to some of the most interesting places in India from religious and historical point of view.

2. Cloudburst in Uttarakhand

A massive cloudburst occurred in the Chamoli region of Uttarakhand on morning of 8th May triggering landslides and heavy rainfall. Tharali-Dewal road remains closed due to debris. Badrinath national highway is blocked at Karnaprayag and Maithana due to landslides while Pokhari-Karanprayag road is also closed at many points.


3. Opening dates for the Char-Dham temple shrines 2016
  • Gangotri - 9th May 2016
  • Yamunotri - 9th May 2016
  • Kedarnath - 9th May 2016
  • Badrinath - 11th May 2016 (due to a cloudburst and landslides in the region)


Note: The shrines remain closed for a period of 6 months, generally, starting from the sacred day of Diwali to April/May next year.
